Remember that last time I went to LA and felt amazing afterward? Fortunately, I was able to do it again, and feel amazing all over again! We just got back tonight, so I am a little exhausted, but feeling energized and invigorated to work toward my goals!
The day I arrived, I did a great shoot with Todd Dutkevitch and Stephanie C. I ended up shooting with Stephanie again later in the week, on Thursday, but that time with Dametreus, who happens to also be from Milwaukee!
In between, artistically speaking, I also did a L’Oreal event, and managed to get a great shoot done at the Beach House with Oliver Wand. I am excited to see all of the images from the week, and hopefully be back soon to do more work there!
I also hope to cross a couple things off my LA to-do list, like The Broad, and a trip to Make Up For Ever… And hope to spend more time with Nancy and Elle, so I can feel like this, like I do every time I spend time with them:
Don’t worry - it wasn’t ALL work!
I got to watch Tommy surf…
We went to the Lakers vs. Mavericks game to see Tommy’s former teammate Wes play, and I got to take a picture by a statue of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (and Magic Johnson), which was fun since the last time I was in LA, I was WITH Kareem Abdul-Jabbar! And of course, as a lifelong Laker fan who can’t wait for Kobe to retire, it was amazing to go to the Staples Center!
We dressed up for Halloween, too! This was special, since we met on Halloween!
Get it? We were DUNKIN DONUTS! No one got it. Haha…
I also got to work and relax on the deck and drink some wine! It was a perfect WORKCATION!
But back to work, ok?
One of the hardest things about working in this industry is waiting impatiently for edits! I can’t wait to see the images from last week! Fortunately, though, some work from some other recent shoots is now up for release! So, here we go!
First, here are a couple new images of me as a model!
In my last shoot where I took the yoga photos, (and yes, you can still join our plank and clean eating challenge that started today for a few more days, just see my last blog for details), I did some boudoir images, and got the top one back!
I also got some new makeup images to share!
The first is of makeup that was in Pump magazine, for a “Yellow” theme:
Models were Jasmine and Vee, photographer was Costy Alex, and I did hair and makeup!
I got to work with Jasmine again on some Fall-themed images that we were hoping to get submitted to some magazines, but didn’t make the cut!
Here’s a behind-the-scenes shot!
And since they weren’t accepted to any magazines, I can share the STUNNING imagery!
Same credits as the last set, but no Vee this time!
I am super excited to see more pictures, and will share them with you once I have them!
Ahhh, I love my job! Have you ever dreamt of making your hobby your job? That is my passion - helping people do that! Whether it is playing dress up like I do, or something else - I want to help you do it!
How do I do it? I do it as a Beachbody coach, and I am hosting a webinar this Thursday that explains exactly what that means! Click here to check it out! And if you aren’t free Thursday night, you can read this blog post, and then send me a message and we’ll chat!
xoxo,
Mandie

These makeup photos are amazing!! Good for you for getting to live your dream <3
Thanks so much! It is so much fun to play dress up! 😉
Oh my goodness it sounds like you had an incredible trip!! I love the Dunkin Donuts costumes - that’s hilarious. I may totally copy-cat it for next year!!!
Living the dream every day! Feel free to copy it, just make sure you share a pic with me so I can see your rendition! Oh, and be prepared to explain what you are the whole time! I feel like maybe carrying around something that says Dunkin Donuts on it or a basketball would have helped, but the inner tubes were already a pain in the rear - haha!
I do love the Dunkin Donut’s costumes, that really is creative!
Sounds like you have an amazing career and having a job you love is probably one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. I love what I do, but I am jealous you get to travel and do stuff like this. If I make a career change in the future, which I am always open to, I would love one that I got to travel with, well as long as they let me stay an extra few days and see the sights, LOL
The makeup on the models is amazing, that is a talent I wish I had.
Thanks so much! Yes, I love what I do and where it takes me! It looks like you have gotten to travel a ton, too! And yeah - I almost always make sure I have time to relax or sightsee or something similar on most trips! it’s funny, though, because the first several times I was in NYC and LA, I didn’t do ANYTHING touristy. I think I have been to NYC ten times and haven’t been to the statue of liberty or empire state building - haha!
And thanks so much! I have another shoot on Friday that I get to do fun and creative stuff on! =)
Love your work, those were gorgeous shots!
Thanks so much! I am definitely blessed to be able to “change lives and play dress up” for a living!
I love outside the box costumes! I commend you on your costumes! Your trip sounds like it was an amazing time. I love how you did the models make up!
Thanks so much! It is tough, because I am always torn between picking something people will understand and something that amuses me - haha! And thank you!
Wow, your work is gorgeous! I feel like I can definitely use some makeup tips so will be checking out your future work and content. Omgosh love your Halloween costumes, so cute!
Thank you so much! =)
Oh my gosh, I’m laughing so hard at your Halloween costumes! That is perfect!
Haha, thanks! What makes them even more perfect was that I already had a selection of Shaq jerseys to choose from when we decided what to be! 😉
I love the halloween costumes! What a fun idea and so creative!
Thanks! =)
