It has been a little while since I have done a makeup portfolio update, and I have a few things to share! The first one this week is some Music Video Makeup Artistry! I have always wanted to be a music video makeup artist, as I watched more MTV than cartoons when I was a kid, so I was really excited when I had the opportunity to do hair and makeup for artist Laura Michelle’s latest video!
A while back, I did makeup for Laura Michelle’s music video, for her song “A Novel With No End.” This article from Ok! Magazine explains the backstory of the song and video really well, but if you don’t feel like reading it, basically, Laura’s father passed away years ago, and her mom is now about to sell her childhood home. She decided to film a music video for the song she wrote in honor of her late father in her childhood home, with nothing left in it but family pictures. I was blessed to be the Music Video Makeup Artist on set that weekend to do hair and makeup!

I am so excited to later read about how well this music video is being received and how well it is doing in other countries, and how many people have seen it! So exciting!
Since this, her video has now surpassed eleven million views, which I think is amazing! Here it is!
I am excited to share a couple more shoots I’ve done but haven’t updated my portfolio with yet! I really hope I get more jobs like this, because I love being a music video makeup artist - it’s my dream!
