Have you ever heard of the hair products brand IGK? Until Influenster sent me some free products for me to review, I hadn’t either! But since then, I have tried them - three of them, actually - IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel, IGK Smoke & Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing Oil, and IGK Beach Club Texture Spray! I’m glad I got to try them out together and separately! Alright, let’s get down to business, shall we? Here’s the IGK Hair Product Reviews!

The first product I tried was the IGK Smoke & Mirrors Cleansing Oil, even though I was a little nervous about how the results would be. I tried it first because a lot of the time, I don’t do much to style my hair - I just wash and condition it and let it air dry. Because of this, it seemed almost silly to try out a product when I wasn’t really going anywhere or planning anything more elaborate than a ponytail.
The reason I was a bit apprehensive about this product is that I had tried Wen in the past, and felt like I could not for the life of me rinse the product out. I felt like once my hair dried, whether it was air drying or by hand, I looked like it had been a really long time since I last bathed - not cute! Unfortunately, it was the same with the IGK Smoke & Mirrors Cleansing Oil (product on the right), as you can see in this picture:
Normally, my hair isn’t quite so piecey/stringy looking, and there isn’t such a dark-looking root, as you will see in the next photo!
As you can tell, I have two products in my hand. That’s because this picture/look features two products for my IGK Hair Product Reviews! In addition to the IGK Smoke & Mirrors Cleansing Oil, I am also wearing the Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel (shown on the left). Not to sound like I am terrified to try new products, but I was nervous about this one, too, because it had the word “gel” in it. It has been quite a while since I have used gel for beachy waves, and I expected to have some stiff, crispy, sticky hair. Not the case! This gave great texture - very subtle. I didn’t take a photo on a day when I used it without the cleansing oil, but I do feel like it gives a nice effect on hair texture when it isn’t coupled with the cleansing oil! So that’s my thoughts on the Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel for these IGK Hair Product Reviews!
The final product I tried was my favorite by far… The IGK Beach Club Texture Spray! I think this is the hero product of the IGK Hair Product Reviews!
You spray the product onto dry hair, down the length of the hair, and suddenly, you have amazing volume and texture. It’s almost like after a day of surfing trying to surf, but less extreme, less gross, and easier to manage!
Plus, like the other two products, this SMELLS INCREDIBLE. I mean, I was lying in bed next to Tommy and saying “Doesn’t my hair smell amazing?” with all three products. So if good-smelling hair is important to you, I highly recommend this - especially if you’d enjoy more volume!
I think this product, the IGK Beach Club Texture Spray, plus dry shampoo are a dynamic duo. The dry shampoo takes care of any oil around the scalp area, while this spray gives amazing volume and… did I mention it smells awesome?
Here’s another photo from that night… It was my hair-do for my 7th anniversary with Tommy, and I got a lot of compliments, as you can see!
I like the brand a lot, despite the first two mentioned products not blowing my mind. I think it’s largely because of their amazing smell. I will probably give away the cleansing oil to a friend who has had good luck/results with Wen, so if that is you, please let me know - claim it!
I am going to look into the rest of their line to see if they have a dry shampoo that I can use with the IGK Beach Club Texture Spray, so I don’t have two competing smells doing weird things on my head!
I love getting free products from Influenster to test in exchange for my honest opinion. There’s another one coming in the next month that I’ve been trying that’s a drug store (i.e. budget friendly) shampoo and conditioner!
Of course, if you aren’t getting your products from Influenster, you have to buy them… And EVERYTHING is available on Amazon*, right? Here - I will make your life easier… Cheers to amazing-smelling hair!
