This week’s inspirational interview is with model and entrepreneur, Danika Brysha. She’s beautiful inside and out, and will show you how finding yourself and sticking to your beliefs can absolutely pay off - both from a health standpoint, and a career standpoint. I’m so excited for you to check out Bold Moves Podcast Episode 5: Danika Brysha!
“It’s a small world,” is somewhat cliche, but it’s becoming even more true now thanks to the internet! I had seen Danika before because we both modeled for the same lingerie designer, but then, like Sherown, found her on instagram, and the more I learned about her, the more I knew I had to have her on the podcast!
During this podcast, we talk about food addiction, nutrition, finding your purpose, meditation, how to avoid burnout by staying away from extremes, staying true to yourself and treating yourself with love and kindness. And of course, stay tuned to the very bottom where we’ll have a new giveaway for the week!
As always, I like to provide a video version via YouTube, as well as the audio version - so I can cater to whatever you prefer. So if you’re a YouTube person, here you go!
And if you prefer audio, check out Bold Moves Podcast Episode 5: Danika Brysha on iTunes or Stitcher, or embedded at the bottom of this page!
Since, as I mentioned, Danika is a model, I think you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not taking a look - whether it’s at the following images, or the video above! And there’s a humor element to the video that makes the podcast version so much more clear!
Hopefully, you’re as inspired as I am to completely take charge of your self-care and get in touch with your purpose!
It amazes me what happens when I do these interviews - the things I learn about myself, and the ways that different concepts that I’ve been thinking about come up in the conversations I have with these inspiring people, even though they are so different from each other! Of course, though, one theme remains - they’ve all made bold moves!
I love her self-care habits. I feel like listening to this podcast has given me a cheat sheet to level up on a few things that I’ve been trying to figure out, such as oppressing myself with rules that are meant to help me move forward, but instead stress me out and end in burnout! I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s going to be making a self-care checklist!
Of course, I really think that you should check out Danika’s baby, Model Meals, especially if you’re in Southern California!
If you are looking for book recommendations*, here are Danika’s suggestions!
For anyone struggling with food addiction: Women, Food, And God by Geneen Roth.
To find your purpose and passion and how you want to feel in life: The Firestarter Sessions, by Danielle LaPorte.
A more spiritual recommendation, and one of her favorite books of all time: A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson.
One of my current reads (especially since ANOTHER podcast interviewee recommended it and it was sitting on my shelf already) that is perfect for entrepreneurs or those who wish to be: Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss.
One of my favorite reads she also mentions, which is a great book for those hoping to get better at leadership: Start with Why by Simon Sinek!
If you haven’t watched it yet, I recommend checking out Simon Sinek’s TED talk!
Danika also recommends Daring Greatly by Brene Brown, and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, and the “Our Deepest Fear” quote we discussed is here!
Here’s where you can find Danika!
And while you’re at it, if you’re not following me yet, you probably should! 😜
Are you chomping at the bit yet for the giveaway? Ok fine, here we go! This week, I am giving away a hardcover copy of The Whole 30, which is the book that started Danika on this amazing path to being a model eater and helping others do the same!
Here are all the ways to enter: Whole 30 Giveaway!
Thank you so much for reading/watching/listening! As I mentioned, I’d love to know if you know anyone else who has done Bold Moves and deserves to be on this podcast - just send me a message here!
Stay tuned for further discussion this week on the rules we set for ourselves, and of course for our Fearless Friday episode with a challenge from Danika!
What would you put on your personal self-care checklist? Comment below!

Exercise, eating healthy, meditation, reading/personal development, puppy cuddles, etc 🙂
You are fortunate to have puppy cuddles! Do you have any tips for meditations?
I find myself addicted to food… By following a more “paleo” based way of eating, I find it easier to steer clear of grains, extra sugars, and try to eat more fresh and clean. If I have grains anytime in the day, I find myself craving more of them…to the point of binging, not a good cycle 🙁

I totally agree! When I stay on track, it’s easier to stay on track! But once I break, it can be really tough to do!
Great interview! Such a passionate person and it really helps light your own fire when you listen to people who love what they do! 💕 Thanks for the awesome giveaway! Whole 30 is on my list to buy/attempt in the next year, as I continue my life journey!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! I am so interested to hear what you think if you try it!
Thanks, I look forward to following you here!
So glad you enjoyed it! <3
