This week’s guest, for Bold Moves Podcast Episode 197 August McLaughlin has some bold moves! August went from theatre kid to model and ended up moving to NYC to model after high school. August struggled with body images and an eating disorder, and overcome it to go on to help others. She pursued an acting career than realized a writing career was what she wanted, and writing about health and wellness led to August’s passion, Girl Boner. Creating her Girl Boner brand, book and podcast have led August to personal growth, meeting incredible people, and finding what feels like to find her purpose. This episode is full of inspiration and empowerment. Please enjoy Bold Moves Podcast Episode 197 August McLaughlin!

In our call, August recommended* a few books, if you’re interested I’ve provided the links here. The books were The Gift of Fear and Other Survival Signals that Protect Us From Violence by Gavin de Becker, and Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan.
Also, check out August’s self-defense class she recommended.
Also check out her book Girl Boner: The Good Girl’s Guide to Sexual Empowerment by August McLaughlin, and Girl Boner Journal: A Guided Journal to Self Awareness by August McLaughlin
If you want to connect with August, you can find her on her website, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram.
This episode reminds me of a few past episodes, because of August’s passion for sexuality and empowerment. For example, if you missed them…Asehli and how she wants to start a sexual revolution, and Drusilla Cowen who’s passion is helping people overcome the assault. Both ladies are active with Survivor Alliance!
Speaking of books & giveaways - if you want to join our personal development online book club, we are about to choose a new book for September so don’t waste any time! You can always join in! Click on the link to check it out! Let’s get better together!
Hope you enjoy this week’s episode!
