It’s Friday, and you know what that means! Bold Moves Fearless Fridays Challenge from Elle Russ ! If you haven’t already, make sure that you check out her interview from Monday, her book*, and her offer for the possibility to win a 45-minute coaching session and a copy of her book!
In this brief episode, Elle shares a great idea on how to push yourself out of your comfort zone! But first, I suppose I should report on how I did with last week’s challenge!
Our guest, Shae McNamara, shared a few reflection questions to go over, and one of them is to think about how our judgments can be clouding our abilities to make decisions!
This morning on the day that I am writing this, I had a 45-minute consultation with an instagram specialist who looked at my business goals and my instagram page and gave me some tips on how I can align the two.
One of the things she mentioned was that as an “everythinger” (and you’ve probably noticed a lot of them on my podcast so far… which you should get used to, because there are more to come), I have multiple areas of focus. She mentioned from looking at my instgram that it seems like I want to focus my time and effort on being a healthy lifestyle coach. She asked me if that was correct, and I explained my passion project, which is this podcast, and how I love the fact that I can explore my creative pursuits as a model and makeup artist, and be self-employed and create my schedule as opposed to doing a 9-to-5 job I hate, and that I want to share that ability and message with others.
She said that from what I told her, it sounds like I want to be a coach for others to become freedompreneurs.
My immediate thoughts were negative. This is primarily because I instantly thought of the people on instgram who leave automated comments and whose instagram pages show tons of pictures living the “laptop lifestyle” where they have luxury items in many posts, as well as pictures of them working on their laptops in exotic locales.
I then employed Shae’s challenge and thought further… And realized that it was entirely possible that I thought this way because I am not there yet. I believe it was in my interview with Shae that we discussed how often when we are “haters” it is because we someone who has done something in our scope of abilities that we haven’t done.
I do not own many luxury items, and I am not where I want to be YET as far as exotic locales on the regular, so it is very possible that envy was secretly rearing its ugly head, and that’s why I was averse to her idea!
Additionally, I had further thoughts of self-doubt and doubt of the other coaches, thinking that many of the accounts seem to be using the same stock photos, so it’s fake, and that the market is already saturated. How silly am I? I KNOW I can do it. I KNOW there will be people who’d prefer me (and choose me as their coach, if that’s what I wanted to do), now I just need to figure out whether that’s exactly what I want to do, and create a laser focus toward whatever my goal is, and make it happen.
That’s my #BoldMovesFearlessFriday reflection from last week! Now it’s time to move forward, shall we!

I already did this week’s before I posted it! I ate at The Counter and watched the first half of the sad Badgers vs. Ohio State game alone! But, “pics or it didn’t happen,” right? Looks like I have an excuse to do it again! Stay tuned to my instagram for that post! 😉
Have you done any of the Bold Moves challenges? Comment below and tell me how they’ve gone!

I haven’t done any Bold Moves challenges, but they sound really intriguing!
You’ll have to share it if you do! I’d love to hear how they go!
I have never done this challenge but love the concept of pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, at least every once and awhile! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

Absolutely! I think it is so important to do so - hence the podcast! Thanks for visiting!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leading me to yours. I love the Fearlessness idea so of course I’ll be subscribing. I think you can do whatever you want to do. It starts with a desire so first, you just need to want it.
About what your adviser said re focusing the Instagram account. Interesting. I’ll look at your profile to see if I would make the same assessment.
Thanks so much! I definitely agree with that! I think so few people believe in themselves, unfortunately, so so many dreams go unfulfilled! My thought is that if people take baby steps outside of their comfort zones, their comfort zones will grow, and they can start doing bigger and better things with the confidence they’ve gained!
