It’s Just Another Makeup Monday… Oh…whoa…. That’s how the Bangles song goes, right? Ok, I know that’s not right. But it IS a good excuse for alliteration and showing off my latest publication! Here’s another magazine cover for this Los Angeles Makeup Artist!
If you were wondering what I was going for with the beginning of this post (perhaps you’re younger than me and/or not a Bangles fan), let me help you out!
I changed it a bit, but I thought it was fun and appropriate!
Anyway, in my last portfolio update, I shared that I was published in People for the third time, which was exciting, as was the opportunity to work with the former face of Guess, Julia Lescova! Before that, I THOUGHT shared my second magazine cover, which was Avante Magazine with Malynda Hale (but I didn’t, so I am including that below, too - it was actually her album cover and images for that), as well as a lot of other new work, such as with Timothy Granaderos of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why!
Now, I have another magazine cover (I am pretty sure it’s just my third, but maybe I have done more and forgotten them?) that I am super excited to share! Here’s my first major cover, if you haven’t been following me long - grooming on Pete Holmes (and Judd Apatow) for the cover of Village Voice!
It was such a fun team and felt like a slumber party! An added bonus was that it smelled like flowers, and I got to make a bouquet and take it home with me after the shoot!
Anyway, without further ado, here is another magazine cover for this Los Angeles Makeup Artist!
The magazine was IMIRAGEMagazine. The photographer was Karen Rosalie, of Rosalie Agency, and shot at Rosalie Studios in downtown Los Angeles! Anne Tortosa of 1817 Creatives was responsible for creative direction, and Margaret Wash of Margaux the Agency was our beautiful model!
How gorgeous are her freckles?? I adore doing clean beauty, and love a good opportunity to use some spirit gum (that’s glue makeup artists use on skin that’s safe!) and glue stuff to a gorgeous face! Pete Holmes and Judd Apatow were a blast, I love working with Malynda Hale, but this was a whole different animal, and I can’t wait for next time!
As mentioned, I THOUGHT I shared the images from the cover of Avante, but I couldn’t find record of it, so here they are! The credits can be found on the post below!
Since then, as well, I did Malynda’s makeup for her performance with O-Town at the Troubador (Which you can see more of on her instagram)…
As well as makeup for her red carpet appearance at a couple red carpet events!
If you’d like to see more of my makeup work, don’t hesitate to check it out here, and if you’d like to work together, shoot me a message here, please!
In the meantime, stay tuned for the next update! 😘
xoxo,
Mandie
